The first step toward becoming a franchisee is completing the Getting Started Form on this site. Members of our franchise development team will review your pre-approval application and notify you within about 48 hours regarding your qualification status.

Initial Call & Interview
After you are pre-qualified, you will be asked to participate in a telephone interview with our Director of Franchise Development. This is an opportunity for you to ask any initial questions you may have as we get to know you and you to get to know us. If we mutually conclude that we share common goals and objectives, you will be invited to have a face-to-face interview at our corporate office in Akron, Ohio.

Discovery Day
After receiving our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), you will be invited to attend a Discovery Day at our corporate office in Akron, Ohio where you’ll receive an overview of our franchise strategy and operating system. You will meet with the experts in our organization in the areas of Franchise Development, Operations, Marketing, Administration, Product Development and Distribution and other key people in the company who will assist you throughout your franchising experience. This is a great opportunity for you to get answers to your questions and for us to confirm that you are a good match for our franchise.

Commit To Our Franchise
At this point in the process, you will submit an initial franchise fee and complete a Franchise License Agreement. An appointment with our Review Board will be scheduled for you to receive final approval, allowing you to use our brand name and giving you access to our operating system and ongoing performance improvements.

Review Board Appointment
Our Review Board committee is made up of our Senior Department heads. They are responsible for finalizing your commitment to becoming a franchisee. Upon receiving a Review Board approval and a positive assessment, you will be awarded your official license to operate a Physicians WEIGHT LOSS Centers® franchise.

Professional Training
You will attend a comprehensive training program at our corporate offices to learn our complete operating system. The training class usually lasts 3 weeks and during that time, you will receive a complete set of our manuals for your reference. They have information about Center Operations, Business Management, Marketing, Behavioral Guidance, Grand Opening Procedures and more. Everything you need to know about our 35+ years of successful business principles and experiences will be provided.

Grand Opening
Congratulations on becoming a Physicians WEIGHT LOSS Centers franchisee! Our Grand Opening Team will be at your side giving you all the guidance you need. They will walk you through a complete 90-day countdown of everything you need to accomplish in order to have a successful Grand Opening. You will receive consistent support from all our corporate departments as you continue to build your business. This is where your weight loss franchise future begins.
